Estádio Antônio de Figueiredo Carneiro
Alagoinhas, Brazil
The Estádio Municipal Antônio de Figueiredo Carneiro sits at Praça Professor Mário Laerte in the Centro district of Alagoinhas, Bahia. Built in 1960 and inaugurated in 1970, the ground has seen several transformations, though the most recent was for the 2024 Campeonato Baiano season. That requalification brought a new Philips Arena Vision LED lighting system and air-conditioned locker rooms.
The current official capacity is listed at 8,000 by the Brazilian Football Confederation. Older estimates often cite 16,000. The 2006 renovation is also a marker of this shift, reducing the capacity to 4,000 seats before the current configuration.
The ground hosts matches for Alagoinhas Atlético Clube and UNIRB Futebol Clube. It has seen action in the Copa do Brasil and, more recently, the 2025 Supercopa do Brasil Feminina quarter-final between Bahia and Cruzeiro. The annual São João festivals are another fixture for the venue, drawing crowds that can reach 22,000 people for concerts.
The playing surface is natural grass. The attendance record is not definitively established, though a 1982 match between Catuense and Corinthians drew 11,046 spectators. The owner is the Alagoinhas City Hall.
