Estádio Capital do Móvel
Paços de Ferreira built its ground the same year the club itself was finding its feet in the higher divisions, and for decades it went by a different name — Estádio da Mata Real, a title that still surfaces around town more readily than the sponsor-driven one printed on the club badge today. The furniture-manufacturing trade that gives the town its livelihood, and the current name its meaning, runs through the stadium's identity in a way that has no real equivalent at any other ground in the country.
The rebuild ahead of the 2013/14 season reshaped the place rather than replaced it: a new central stand went up, and the pitch was relaid with fresh natural turf, work carried out around a capacity that has stayed modest and never chased the numbers of the bigger Porto district grounds nearby. Beyond the main pitch, the training complex behind it does the heavier lifting for the club day to day — two further grass pitches, an artificial one, and a small five-a-side surface, the kind of setup that keeps a provincial club self-sufficient without needing to lean on the city.
It remains, in the end, the one ground Paços de Ferreira has ever known, home to FC Paços de Ferreira since the doors opened, with none of the tenancy switches or naming disputes that complicate the story at so many comparable venues.
