Estadio Ciudad de Caseros

The stadium changed its name once, by vote. Estudiantes de Buenos Aires opened the ground on 11 May 1963 as Estadio de Estudiantes, and for its first match — a Primera D fixture in the second round of that season — put five past Piraña without reply. It kept that name for nearly three decades. In September 1992, club members voted to rename it Estadio Ciudad de Caseros, tying the ground to the town rather than the club that built it, and the name has held since.

Estudiantes has never played anywhere else. The club, founded in 1898, has stayed at this single address in Caseros — where Avenida General Justo José de Urquiza meets Lisandro de la Torre, inside the Tres de Febrero district of Greater Buenos Aires — for the whole of its history as ground-owner and tenant in one.

The pitch measures 102 by 68 metres, natural grass, holding 16,740 inside a footprint that has changed little since the 1960s. No corporate sponsor has ever attached its name to the place; it carries only the town's name, which is rarer among Argentine lower-division grounds than it sounds.
