Stadium
Estádio do Morumbi
Formerly: Estádio Cícero Pompeu de Toledo (official), Morumbi (popular), MorumbIS (commercial, since 2023)
The Estádio Cícero Pompeu de Toledo went up for São Paulo FC in stages: a first phase opened on 2 October 1960, when the home side beat Sporting Lisbon 1-0, and the remaining stands were not finished until 25 January 1970, nearly a decade later.
The ground's attendance record does not belong to São Paulo at all. On 9 October 1977, Corinthians and Ponte Preta met here in the state championship final, and 146,082 people came through the gates — 138,032 of them paying — for a match Ponte Preta won 2-1.
