Estádio do Papão

Estádio Luiz Ribeiro Coutinho in Sapé sits on Rua Severino Alves Pessoa Neto, but almost nobody calls it by that name. The locals refer to it as Estádio Toca do Papão, or sometimes Campo da Sanbra. It serves as the home of Confiança Esporte Clube, which moved here from their previous grounds at the older Estádio Ribeirão after a period of playing at Estádio Tadeuzão.

The ground is small, holding a capacity of 1,000 spectators. The pitch itself is the main subject of conversation, and not usually in flattering terms. Local media describes the natural grass surface as being in poor condition, marred by irregularities and loose sand that causes the ball to bounce unpredictably.

There is no official website for the stadium, and the exact year it was built remains unclear. The club communicates primarily through social media channels, bypassing traditional press releases.
