The name on the ground belongs to a coal man.
That connection matters more than the seating. Lota Schwager climbed into the Primera División three times, in 1969, 1986 and 2006.
The rebuild ran from 2019 to 2021 and added an athletics track around the pitch, which has since brought other sport in: the national masters athletics championship was held here in February 2025. The reopening was marked on 26 February 2021, though competitive football waited until 22 August, when Lota Schwager beat Deportes Rengo 2-1 in Tercera División A.
The club condemned it.
