Estadio Germán Solterman

Formerly: Coloso Germán Solterman

9 de Julio, the club that has held this ground on Ayacucho since long before the current stands went up, plays at the Coloso Germán Solterman.

What sets it apart locally is continuity. A stadium already stood on this plot in 1941, and rather than move elsewhere, the club chose in 1973 to tear down and rebuild in place, opening the reconstructed ground the following year, in 1974. That decision to reinvest in the same corner of the city, between Bolívar and Pellegrini, ties the current stadium to more than three decades of history before it even opened in its present form.

The pitch remains natural grass, as it has throughout the ground's various stages. Little else about the Coloso has drawn wider attention — no major renovation, no international fixture, no headline moment beyond its own reconstruction — which fits a stadium built to serve a single club and its neighbourhood rather than to host the sport at large.
