Stadium
Estadio Gunther Vogel
Formerly: Estadio Ciudad Universitaria
Estadio Gunther Vogel opened in 1937 as the Estadio Ciudad Universitaria, built inside the campus of the National University of Asunción, and it kept that name for the better part of eight decades before the 2011 rebrand — a recognition of Gunther Vogel, the businessman behind Novex SA.
The ground still sits on university land in San Lorenzo, on Calle Alberdi, which explains a capacity that has never chased the numbers of Asunción's bigger clubs: 5,000, set during the 2015 rebuild that accompanied the team's return to the Primera División and unchanged since a further check in 2019.
