Two stands, and nothing behind either goal. Terraces there were meant to take the ground to thirty-four thousand; that never happened. Between 2009 and 2010 the architect Луис Уаркайя Альсамора oversaw the strengthening of the surface and the stands. Larger schemes followed — forty million soles in 2009, ninety million in 2018 — and stayed on paper.

The floodlights came in the 2010s, and the first match played under them was a Кубок Либертадорес tie on 31 January 2012, when Спорт Уанкайо drew 1:1 with Арсенал of Argentina. The ground had already taken continental football: Спорт Анкаш beat Ньюбленсе of Chile 4:0 in the Кубок Южной Америки in September 2008, and Реал Гарсиласо beat Крузейро 2:1 there in February 2014.

On 18 December 2013 the ground held 15,200 for the deciding third match of the Перуанский чемпионат final between Реал Гарсиласо and Университарио. It finished 1:1, and Университарио took the penalties 5:4.
