Estádio JK

The ground carries the name of the man who built the capital city, though it sits some distance from the centre of Brasília in the satellite district of Paranoá. Estádio JK is not much to look at from the outside. What matters is that it was empty for a long time after that. The renovation brought new grass and repaired seats, and the stadium began hosting matches once more for Capital Clube de Futebol.

The place is small, a proper local venue rather than a monument. The supporters do not travel far to see this game, and they fill the terraces with enough noise to make the occasion feel significant despite the modest surroundings.

The pitch is natural grass, cut short for the league fixtures.
