Estádio José Antônio Abílio de Lima (Abilhão)

The name on the gate has changed four times since the ground opened on 27 October 1965. José Antônio Abílio de Lima ran Quixadá Futebol Clube in 1977, the year his 14-year-old daughter picked all 13 results in the national pools and the family collected 3.7 million cruzeiros.

What the naming history does not show is how often the ground has failed inspection. Fire and engineering authorities declared it irregular in 2014, forcing the club to play home fixtures in Alto Santo despite the mayor's public insistence that everything was in order. The state prosecutor's office went further in March 2016, citing cracked walls, faulty wiring and inadequate showers and drainage, and recommended barring ticketed matches until the defects were fixed.

Floodlights went up in January 2024. Ahead of the 2025 Campeonato Cearense Série B campaign, the pitch was relaid and new air-conditioned dressing rooms built in partnership with the club. Promotion to the state's top flight then prompted governor Elmano de Freitas to promise a full refurbishment in April 2025, though no budget or timeline had been made public.
