Estadio José María Moraños sits behind the tracks of the Ferrocarril Belgrano Sur line, at the corner of Gorriti and Altolaguirre in Tapiales — a location that already tells most of the story: this is a neighbourhood ground, built for a club whose gates never counted in the thousands. Club Atlético Lugano has played here since the reconstruction works began in 1985, when the club rebuilt both the stands and the clubhouse rather than moving elsewhere.

The seating reflects that modest ambition. The home end holds 300 on a concrete terrace, the away end takes 800 on earth banking, and the small covered stand adds another 300 seats plus a standing pen for 100 more — a layout of embankments and a single roofed section rather than four matching sides.

Natural grass covers the pitch, unremarkable for a ground at this level but consistent across every source that describes it.
