Estadio José María Olaeta
Rosario, Argentina
Formerly: Estadio José Martín Olaeta
Argentino de Rosario has played at Víctor Mercante 750 since 8 April 1944, and the ground still carries the name of José María Olaeta rather than any sponsor. It sits in the fourth tier now, Primera C Metropolitana, a long way down from where a club founded on 15 January 1912 might once have expected to be, but the address has not changed and neither has the pitch underfoot — natural grass, as it was laid.
At 6,800 capacity, the Olaeta is one of the smaller grounds in a city that measures itself against Newell's Old Boys and Rosario Central, and it shows: no bowl, no roof spanning both ends, just enough seating to hold a lower-division crowd and little more. What keeps it distinct locally is that it doubles up — Leones de Rosario FC, formed in 2015, also calls it home, which is not the arrangement at the bigger grounds across town.
There is no rebuild story here, no chapter about a World Cup upgrade or a fire that closed it for a season. The stadium has simply stood on Víctor Mercante since the 1940s, hosting a club that has stayed at its level rather than one that fell from a higher one, which in Rosario's football landscape counts as its own kind of history.
