Estadio Juan Nepomuceno López
La Piedad, Mexico
The Estadio Juan Nepomuceno López was built to serve a team that had ambitions to reach the top flight. It replaced an older facility that had stood in the city centre for decades. When the new stadium opened in 1994, it was designed to meet the requirements for La Piedad's admission into Primera División "A". The original site for that older stand had been donated by Juan Nepomuceno López himself, and the land for this new arena was later sold by his family to finance the construction.
The pitch itself is natural grass. The capacity is recorded at 13,356, a figure that has not changed since the doors first opened. However, the highest attendance was recorded during the second leg of the Torneo Clausura 2012 Liga de Ascenso Final against Dorados de Sinaloa. The crowd that turned up that night was larger than the official limit, filling every gap in the stands.
The club's official website is rebocerosdelapiedad.com. The ground has hosted other teams, including Real Zamora and Tritones Vallarta, but it remains the home of the Reboceros. In March 2024, the venue received a two-match veto from the Mexican Football Federation following a mass brawl between Reboceros de La Piedad and Petroleros de Salamanca after an elbow by goalkeeper Axel Quiroz.
