Estadio Ka'arendy
In April 2021 the board of Club General Caballero (JLM) dropped Estadio Leandro Ovelar and adopted Ka'arendy, the town's historical indigenous name; in Juan León Mallorquín the older name is still the one people use, and it turns up in match listings alongside the new one.
The rebuild followed a year later. Municipal royalties paid for it, Distrimaco S.A. put up the new graderías, and an automatic irrigation system went in under the natural grass at the same time.
That match is not isolated. General Caballero's promotion to the Primera División brought Libertad and Cerro Porteño to a ground that sits in the town centre, about 650 metres north of Route PY02. The early knockout rounds of the Copa Paraguay have been played here too, though the later stages and the national finals go elsewhere, and the pitch has not been given over to large concerts.
It is not exclusively General Caballero's. Deportivo Primavera, also from the town, has staged home fixtures at Ka'arendy, including in the Copa Paraguay.
