Villa Crespo is Atlanta country, and León Kolbowski sits in the middle of it, close enough to the houses around Calle Humboldt that the whole barrio feels attached to the ground. The stadium takes the name of a former club president, a mark of how the place is remembered less as a piece of concrete than as someone's project carried through.

The ground opened in 1960, part of the wave of grounds Argentine clubs put up through the middle of the twentieth century, and it has kept its natural turf ever since, still tended the traditional way rather than switched over for a training-friendly hybrid. Capacity sits at 18,000, modest by the standards of Buenos Aires' bigger arenas, which suits a club whose identity has always been tied more to the neighbourhood than to trophies.

Atlanta play here, and the ground carries their colours through every corner of Villa Crespo — a rare case of a club and its barrio sharing a name so completely that locals often just say "Atlanta" to mean both.
