Boca Unidos built this ground themselves, on seven hectares in Barrio 17 de Agosto, at the point where Calle Trento meets Ruta Nacional 12. The earlier pitches, in Camba Cuá and down by the waterfront, left no recorded capacities behind.
The name arrived before the stadium did. In 2012 the complex was already Leoncio Benítez , after a man who played for the club, coached it and sat on its board. The first stage opened on 19 October 2014 , under club president Alfredo Schweizer and his board, and it held 8,000.
What followed is the part the club does not date. The ground grew to 17,500 , more than doubling.
The playing surface is natural grass.
