Estádio Municipal Gabriel Marques da Silva

New grounds outnumber old ones in São Paulo's satellite towns, and this one still smells of fresh paint: Santana de Parnaíba inaugurated its Estádio Municipal Gabriel Marques da Silva in January 2021, on the exact plot where the old Campo Municipal do Centro once stood. Nothing of the previous ground survives except the address.

The synthetic pitch was laid for durability rather than romance — a working surface built to take heavy rotation from youth and women's football rather than a single tenant's weekly fixture. Ska Brasil, formerly based in Osasco, relocated here at the end of 2020 and played their first competitive match on the new ground in April 2022, more than a year after the ribbon was cut. In the meantime the stadium had already found other uses: Red Bull Bragantino's women's side plays home fixtures here in both the Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino A1 and the Campeonato Paulista Feminino, and the ground has become a regular stop on the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior calendar, the youth tournament that doubles as a shop window for the country's academies every January.

That mix of tenants — a men's club still building its history, a women's team playing away from its own base, and a conveyor belt of teenage prospects passing through for a fortnight each year — says more about the ground's role than its capacity does. 7,200 seats is enough for a competitive Paulista tie without ever being tested by one.
