R.B. Bragantino (women) saw off Vitória BA (women) 6-2 in the Brazilian Championship, Regular Season round 16, on 15 August 2026. The hosts dominated possession and chances, while the visitors struggled to contain the pressure throughout.
Yasmin turned the ball into her own net in the sixth minute, giving Bragantino an early lead. M. Del Trecco doubled the advantage before half an hour had elapsed, followed by Ana Carla's brace in the 24th and 29th minutes. Iana added a fourth before the break, and although Vitória scored twice late on through Katyelle and Lurdinha, the damage was done.
Bragantino registered 11 shots on target from 14 attacks, while Vitória managed just five. Possession sat at 64 per cent for the hosts, and they earned eight corners to the visitors' two. By then, Vitória had picked up three yellow cards and one offside, while Bragantino remained offside-free.
The result leaves Bragantino 10th on 26 points from 17 games, one win after a 0-1 defeat to São Paulo. Vitória BA drop further to 17th with seven points, their form showing signs of fatigue and one mistake ends it when you're already on the back foot.
And here's the thing — Bragantino's attack looked sharp, but they weren't at their fluid best. Three goals in quick succession before the interval might have been enough, yet they kept going. To be fair, Vitória had little to show for their 36 per cent possession beyond the late consolation goals.
