«Gurias Coloradas»
The Gurias Coloradas, as they're known around Porto Alegre, made the state championship their own almost immediately, winning it in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021, then again in 2023, taking their tally in that competition to twelve. Grêmio beat them to the title in 2022 and again in 2024, keeping the crosstown rivalry sharp on the one trophy Internacional had come to expect. Their best run nationally came in that same 2022 season, when they reached the final of the Brasileirão Feminino A1 and finished runners-up.
Home games are played at the Estádio do SESC Campestre, a ground that holds 2,000. There is no separate club channel for the women's side; results and news run through Internacional's main site.
Bianca Brasil is the name attached to the team's best individual season: in 2020 she finished as the Brasileirão Feminino's all-time leading scorer, with 47 goals in that campaign. Lucas Piccinato took over as head coach in November 2023, stepping in for Brenna Bassu after the run of state titles that had defined the previous three years.
