Palmeiras Women

Vinhedo sits in the interior of São Paulo state, and the ground the women's side of Palmeiras calls home there holds 4,200 — the Estádio Nelo Bracalente, known locally as the Campo do Aquário.

The second push came in 2019, when a new rule made a women's team a condition of entering the Copa Libertadores, and Palmeiras reactivated the squad.

Three years after that restart came the trophy that changed the conversation: the 2022 Copa Libertadores Femenina, won 4:1 against Boca Juniors in the final, with captain Bia Zaneratto among the scorers. Ricardo Belli was the coach who took them there. Since then the Copa do Brasil has followed in 2025, beaten Ferroviária 4:2, and the Supercopa do Brasil in 2026. Rosana Augusto, twice an Olympic medallist as a player, took charge in October 2025.

The Campeonato Paulista tells the same story of two eras: a title in 2001, then nothing until 2022, 2024 and 2025. That state championship is where the club's rivalries live, since the strongest women's sides in Brazil are concentrated in São Paulo — Ferroviária, beaten in the Copa do Brasil final, chief among them.
