Santa Fe Women

In 2017, less than a year after Independiente Santa Fe fielded a women's team for the first time, Oriana Altuve scored the goal that beat Atlético Huila in the final and made The Lionesses the first champions of the Liga Femenina BetPlay Dimayor — a result that earned the side its other nickname, Las Primeras Campeonas, the First Champions. Leicy Santos captained that team; she would later play for the Colombia national team.

The club, officially Club Independiente Santa Fe Femenino, had been presented on 11 August 2016, in the same red and white as the men's team, and it plays at the men's ground, the Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín, now set at 36,343 seats. The Clásico Capitalino against Millonarios carries the rivalry over from the men's fixture. The team still has no site of its own; its results sit inside the men's, at independientesantafe.com.

Two more league titles followed: a 4-1 win over América de Cali in 2020 and a 1-0 win over the same opponent in 2023. Since then the final has gone the other way three times running, all against Deportivo Cali — in 2021, 2024 and 2025. The Lionesses have not lifted the title since.
