América de Cali Women

América de Cali Women sit among the established sides of the Liga Femenina Colombiana, with two league titles to their name and a runner-up finish still recent enough to sting. A third star is what each campaign now works toward.

The club took shape in Cali on 15 September 2016, sharing the América de Cali badge and red colours with the men's side. It also shares their ground, the Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero, which now holds 37,899 after redevelopment work.

The nickname followed the men's team too: where the male squad answers to Los Diablos Rojos, the women play as Las Diablas Rojas, red shirt over white.

The two championships came three years apart. In 2019, América beat Independiente Medellín 3-2 on aggregate to lift the Liga Femenina Colombiana for the first time. The following year brought a step back, a 1-4 aggregate defeat to Independiente Santa Fe in the final. América answered in 2022, closing out Deportivo Cali 4-3 across two legs for a second title.

That record leaves the club chasing a third star, with the rivalry against Deportivo Cali, the other half of Cali's football story, never far from view.
