Fluminense Women

Amanda Storck took the job of running Fluminense's women's football in 2018. It grew out of a partnership with a social project in Duque de Caxias, Daminhas da Bola. The first campaign came in 2019: a run to the state runner-up spot in Rio de Janeiro and the last 16 of the national second tier. In 2021 the under-18 side won the national title on penalties against Internacional. The step up came in 2023, when Fluminense lost the Série A2 final to Bragantino but went up anyway, reaching Série A1 for the first time. Saulo Silva took over as head coach in July 2025, succeeding Hoffmann Túlio Coelho Batista, who had held the post since August 2022. Green, white and grená stripes on the shirt, supplied by Puma and backed by Betano. The first senior trophy arrived on 8 March 2026, the Copa Rio Feminina, beaten out against Flamengo 2-0 at the Estádio Marcelo Vieira in Cerema — Camilla scored in the 35th minute, Maria Luiza added the second in the 81st. Flamengo got its own back weeks later, taking the Carioca final on penalties. Botafogo and Vasco da Gama fill out the rest of the local rivalries. Tarciane stands out: a defender at the club from 2019 to 2022, capped by the senior Brazil side, who went on through Corinthians and Houston Dash before joining Lyon in February 2025.
