Estadio Municipal Guillermo Guzmán Díaz
Rengo, Chile
The clue to what makes this ground unusual sits in the summer of 1962, when Chile hosted the World Cup. They found it in Ренго , at the municipal ground in the Альто-Сан-Мартин district, on Коло Коло street. Nothing about the place was built for that — the stadium only came into use during the 1960s, and no exact opening date is recorded.
The Ренго selection won it at home.
The two rebuilds since then were each triggered by something. The first, running from February to August 2013, dealt with the basics: sanitary blocks, the stands, the perimeter walls, an Olympic-style fence, an electronic scoreboard and space for the press. The second came a decade later, in 2023, when Депортес Ренго reached the Segunda División Profesional. Dressing rooms were rebuilt, floodlight masts went up, and CCTV and Wi-Fi were installed.
The pitch is natural grass, and the capacity is modest.
