The Estádio Municipal Álvaro Alves does not compete with a rival ground across town for the city's football nights — it simply is the city's football, home to Paraná Soccer Technical Center, a club that has carried the town's name into the second tier of the state championship this season.

The pitch itself has been through a quiet transformation. A renovation campaign that ran up to 2020 replaced the old stand, added new dressing rooms and put in floodlights, work that cost close to 700,000 reais by the time it finished. There was no grand reopening to mark it — the pandemic saw to that, and the ground simply went back into use without ceremony. Capacity grew in the process, from roughly 1,500 to the 2,826 now recognised by the Paraná state football federation, a jump that older listings elsewhere on the internet have not caught up with.

PSTC itself dates back to 1994, though it did not turn professional until 2010, and the club runs its own technical centre alongside the main stadium, complete with a smaller synthetic-turf pitch used for training. The main surface stays natural grass, tended for a club whose ambitions have outpaced the small-town setting around it.
