PSTC Procopense

The senior side stayed modest by comparison. In 2012 PSTC struck a partnership with the municipality of Cornélio Procópio, relocated there and added Procopense to its name to represent the city officially. Its honours are almost all youth titles — Paraná state championships at under-17 and under-15 level, won in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2008 and 2019 — with the adult team's best results confined to the state's second division, which it won in 2015 and 2019. The closest it came to something bigger was 2016, when it reached the final of the Campeonato Paranaense do Interior and lost on penalties to Londrina, the club with which PSTC shares its founding city and its sharpest rivalry, alongside the more local derby against Athletico Cornélio Procópio.

Home matches are now played at the Estádio Municipal Álvaro Alves, which holds 1,018 people — a reminder that PSTC's real product was never what happened on that pitch on a Saturday, but the players who left it. None left with a heavier reputation than Fernandinho, who wore the captain's armband at Manchester City and played for Brazil at two World Cups.
