Portuguesa Londrinense

The relationship with Londrina Esporte Clube tells you something the trophy cabinet cannot: the Clássico Londrinense has been the fixture that mattered more than the league table.

What it did win, in 2006, was the Série Prata — the state's second division — a single title that stands as the club's first and, so far, only piece of silverware. Two runner-up finishes in the same competition, in 1999 and 2001, mark the years it came closest before finally getting there.

The 2023 season brought a heavier kind of history. Relegation from the national Série B to Série C triggered a financial crisis severe enough to end the club's contract with its management company, SM Sports.
