Estádio Presidente Eurico Gaspar Dutra

The stadium sits in Centro Sul under a name few in Cuiabá bother with, still known locally by the diminutive Dutrinha, and, in its early years, by a nickname that borrowed Rio's own ground: Maracanã cuiabano. It replaced the Estádio do Comércio, built in 1936 on the same site, and opened on 31 January 1952.

Its outsized moment came decades later, when FIFA sent four group-stage matches from the 2014 World Cup here — Chile against Australia, Russia against South Korea, Nigeria against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Japan against Colombia — a run of fixtures well beyond the scale a 9,000-capacity ground normally hosts. That mismatch between size and occasion still defines the place more than any of its tenants.

Those tenants have shifted more than once. Cuiabá Esporte Clube plays here, but administration passed to Mixto Esporte Clube at the end of 2024. The ground's largest crowd came not from a World Cup fixture but from a domestic decider: 41,311 packed in on 22 September 2018 for the Série C final between Cuiabá and Operário-PR, a figure the World Cup matches themselves never approached.

The ground has had its lean spells. In 2015 leaks and electrical faults forced a temporary closure and cut capacity to 18,000. Lighting and surveillance were upgraded in 2023. Outside football, it has doubled as a concert venue, drawing Guns N' Roses and Luan Santana to a pitch more used to Mato Grosso state football than arena rock.
