Estadio Roberto Nicolás Carminatti

As Olimpo president from 1923 to 1945, Roberto Nicolás Carminatti pushed through the ground that opened on 22 January 1942 with a match against Banfield, and the club carried his name into the terraces only in 1975, thirty-three years on. Locals still shorten it to El Carminatti, and older references still call it Estadio Olimpo.

The ground's wooden stands gave way in stages rather than at once. A 1977 rebuild replaced the original wooden fencing with concrete walls and columns, and in 1995 the club raised its first concrete stand along Ángel Brunel. The bigger overhaul came between 2001 and 2003, once Olimpo had reached the Primera División and the AFA required grounds to meet top-flight standards: every remaining wooden terrace was torn out for seated concrete, along with new floodlighting, press boxes, ticket windows and toilets, at a cost of AR$680,000. A LED screen followed in 2013, and irrigation for the pitch was added around 2016.

The stadium's biggest night had nothing to do with Olimpo. On 13 May 1978, with the World Cup weeks away, the Argentina national side used the Bahía Blanca ground for a warm-up match against a Liga del Sur regional select, winning 7-0 in front of a squad that carried Mario Kempes, Ubaldo Fillol and Daniel Bertoni, with Diego Maradona sent on from the bench.
