Estadio Rommel Fernández

The ground carries a name attached to loss. Panama's government opened it in 1970 as the Estadio Revolución, built for that year's Central American and Caribbean Games, and the country renamed it in 1993 for Rommel Fernández, a footballer killed in a car accident.

Its record night arrived on 10 October 2017, when a match played here sent Panama to its first-ever World Cup finals — a wait that stretched back to 1976, when a win over Costa Rica on the same ground had given the national side its first qualifying victory of any kind.

The capacity has moved with the decades rather than settled: 22,000 before the 1993 renaming, pushed higher for the 2010 Central American Games, then brought back down to 23,000 through a 2023–2024 rebuild that replaced the facade, the scoreboard and the lighting and fitted 10,000 new seats. The pitch itself is now hybrid, GrassMaster fibre woven through natural turf, laid as part of that same renovation.

Tauro FC have called it home since 1984, sharing it with Alianza FC and the national team that has played there since the stadium opened. The single biggest crowd on record came for a domestic final rather than an international night: over 25,000 packed in for the 1996 ANAPROF championship between San Francisco and Plaza Amador.
