Estádio Ítalo Setti
São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil
Formerly: Baetão (on the same site)
The plot on Avenida Armando Ítalo Setti has held a football ground since 1928, though not the structure standing there today. Esporte Clube São Bernardo took the field on that first pitch in the Baeta Neves district, and the arena served the club until 1963, when it was cleared to make way for Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima cutting through São Bernardo do Campo.
What rose afterwards on the same ground was known as Baetão before it took the name it carries now, Estádio Ítalo Setti. The natural grass pitch and a capacity just above six thousand keep the arena sized for a district ground rather than for one of the bigger stages in the Paulista state game. The site's continuity — one football ground effectively replacing another on the same few thousand square metres since the 1920s — is the more notable thread through its history than any single match played there.
