Estádio Valdeir José de Oliveira

Estádio Valdeir José de Oliveira did not carry its current name from the start. Goianésia opened it in 1970 as Estádio Municipal Castelo Branco, and the first whistle brought together the home side and Maracanã in a match, Goiás against Goiânia. Maracanã won that opener 2-1.

The renaming came only in the 1990s, when the municipality attached the ground to the memory of Valdeir José de Oliveira. The stadium still belongs to the city, with the club as its resident tenant, and the pitch sits on Avenida Goiás in the Setor Sul district, laid out over a natural grass surface measuring 105 by 68 metres.
