Estadio Valentín González

Mexico City, Mexico

The Estadio Valentín González does not attempt to impress. It sits inside the Centro Deportivo Xochimilco complex, tucked away in the Xochimilco borough of Mexico City, and has done so since it opened its doors in 1964. The ground is owned by the Xochimilco City Council.

A walk around the perimeter reveals a **natural grass** pitch. The capacity is small, roughly 2,500 spectators. The stadium has always been called Estadio Valentín González, named for a local figure whose family received recognition at the centre's 50th anniversary.

Tenants have come and gone, reflecting the volatility of the lower tiers of Mexican football. CDM F.C. played there until June 2025, when they relocated to Acámbaro to become Lobos de Acámbaro F.C. Before them, C.D.C. Olimpo used the ground, and earlier still, Atlético Capitalino suffered a mid-season exile after disputes with the local government forced them to abandon their home fixture. Marina/Cañoneros F.C., a team linked to the Mexican Navy, also made use of the facility before departing in 2018.
