CDM

Emmanuel Sánchez took over as head coach in April 2025, a month after Juan Carlos Rico was dismissed, but by then the club he inherited was preparing for a significant change. Founded in July 2021 under owner Ricardo Andrade, CDM had spent its short life climbing the lower tiers of Mexican football, winning its group in the Tercera División in each of its first two seasons and finishing that second campaign as the best team in the division nationally, only to fall short in the promotion playoffs. By December 2024 the club, playing as Los Lobos in the Liga Premier Serie B, had reached the quarterfinals before losing to Artesanos de Metepec.

The team's ground, Estadio Valentín González, held just 2,500 people, and its players — a group that included goalkeeper Pablo Vargas, forward Carlos Morón and the teenage forward Leonardo Díaz, among others on the 2023–24 roster — wore white shirts with green sleeves at home and black with green sleeves away.

None of that squad building carried the club's name for much longer. In February 2025, talks opened to move CDM to Acámbaro, in the state of Guanajuato. By June 27 that year the move was final: CDM F.C.
