Calor de San Pedro

In Reynosa, the rivalry that mattered most was with CF Orgullo Reynosa. The club settled there in June 2025, one stop among many since Stephen Tolman Devins founded it on 30 August 2001 in San Pedro de las Colonias, Coahuila, as a professional outlet for young players coming out of the Liga México Canadiense.

The relocations kept coming. Gómez Palacio took the club in 2013, Monclova in 2018, and the 2020–21 season was lost altogether to financial restructuring during the pandemic, though the club survived it. A planned move to León in 2024 fell through, sending the team briefly to San Juan de los Lagos before Reynosa, and then, in July 2026, to Oaxtepec, where it now plays at the Estadio Olímpico de Oaxtepec.

Through all of it, the club kept its name, El Calor, and its red-and-black colours. Its one league title arrived in Apertura 2022, when it beat Alebrijes de Oaxaca 3–2 on aggregate to win the Liga Premier Serie B, a competition it had already finished runner-up in twice, in 2017 and 2021, having also lost a Tercera División final to Real Cuautitlán back in 2012. Víctor Elizalde Delgado scored the club's first goal in that 2001 debut and went on to be linked with Cruz Azul.

No player who came through Calor de San Pedro's ranks has yet reached Liga MX or the senior national team.
