Atlético Saltillo

Atlético Saltillo no longer plays anywhere. The club, which spent its whole existence in the third tier of Mexican football, folded in June 2024 after the administration running it under Carlos and Michel Mardones walked away mid-season.

It began in June 2017 as an alliance between the owners of Atlético Allende and Saltillo Soccer, competing at first as Atlético Saltillo Soccer. Two years later it absorbed Saltillo Soccer F.C., itself formerly known as Titanes de Saltillo, and kept the composite name through the 2019–20 season before settling on Saltillo F.C.

The team took its "Los Coyotes" nickname from the Saltillo Soccer side it had swallowed, and played in black and gold at home, white and gold away. It reached the playoffs twice in Serie B, in 2017–18 and 2018–19, and once more after moving up to Serie A in 2021–22, without ever taking a title.

Francisco Javier Gamboa is the coach the club is remembered for, the one who took it up through promotion. Jair García stayed in the job longer than anyone else who held it.
