Halcones Negros

Estadio Municipal Claudio Suárez, in Texcoco, holds 5,000 people. Halcones Negros was formed in Mexico City in August 2018 and spent its first years without a fixed home, moving from municipality to municipality across the eastern State of Mexico depending on which local government made an offer, passing through the Unidad Deportiva San José in Chicoloapan de Juárez and the IMCUFIDE Papalotla ground before settling in Texcoco.

The club, known as the Black Falcons, plays in black at home and in white with gold trim away, matching the black-and-gold identity in its name. It started out in the fourth tier of Mexican football, and its rise there took time. The breakthrough came in the 2025–26 season of the Liga TDP, when Halcones Negros fielded the most productive attack in the division, scoring 70 goals over the regular season. Striker Daniel Iván Ramos finished as the competition's top scorer with 33 of them. The run continued into the promotion playoffs, where the club reached the quarter-finals before a 0–2 defeat in the first leg away to Lechuzas UPGCH ended the campaign.

In August 2026 Halcones Negros moved up to the Segunda División de México, the Liga Premier Serie A. In Texcoco, the club's closest rivalry is with Faraones de Texcoco, another side from the same city, and their meetings carry the weight of a genuine local derby even without a name of their own attached to it.
