Acatlan

Vaqueros open this Liga Premier Serie A season under a name that is barely a year old, though little else about them has actually changed: same blue and white, same modest ground in Zapotlanejo.

In 2024 new owners tried to move the team out of town altogether, renaming it internally as CEFOR Tepatitlán and switching the kit to red and blue. The relocation was blocked, and the side turned up instead in Arandas that winter, playing under the name Trinca Guinda F.C. before drifting back to Zapotlanejo in early 2025.

The lineage underneath all of it goes back to 2016, when Vaqueros Bellavista relocated to Guadalajara and re-formed as Acatlán F.C. That club took the Tercera División title in 2017–18 and won promotion to the Serie A in 2024, then was dissolved on 31 July 2025 — the same day its licence was used to register ACF Zapotlanejo, a name that ties the club more directly to the city where it actually plays. The Liga TDP Zona B title arrived that same year.

The nickname Vaqueros outlasted every rebrand, a holdover from the Bellavista days. Diego Jiménez, who once played for the club, has run it as chairman through the whole episode.

The Estadio Municipal Miguel Hidalgo, where it all settled again.
