La Tribu De Cd. Juarez

The Estadio Municipal 8 de Diciembre holds just over four thousand people. Before the move, La Tribu worked out of the Complejo Deportivo La Tribu, a ground built for 500 spectators.

The team took shape in 2012 out of the wreckage of two earlier sides, Club Colegio de Bachilleres de Ciudad Juárez and, before that, Indios de Ciudad Juárez. La Tribu inherited both the nickname and the crowd. The club played its first official match that October.

What followed was a long habit of getting close and stopping short. Between 2013 and 2025, La Tribu reached the promotion phase of the Liga TDP in nine separate seasons — 2013, 2014, 2016, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 — without ever winning it. In 2025–26, the club finished runner-up in the Liga TDP final, losing to Saltillo Soccer, and that result was enough to send them up into the Liga Premier Serie A, Mexican football's second tier.

The club has built its identity less around silverware than around producing players, particularly goalkeepers, for others to sign. Juan Román Ramírez moved on to Pachuca in 2024, and Nicolás Calixto went through FC Juárez's under-21 side before joining Cruz Azul Hidalgo.

Ciudad Juárez no longer gives La Tribu a derby in the strict sense: Indios is gone, other local sides have dissolved or switched leagues, and the phrase "Clásico Juarense" belongs to the city's basketball scene rather than its football.
