Evans Bevan Playing Fields

The pitch at Pinewood Terrace belongs to a charity rather than a football club. Baglan Boys & Girls Club runs the ground, and the football is one tenant among several — cricket and netball sides use the same grass through the year.

That surface got attention in 2022/23, when the ground took a £27,000 grant to upgrade the turf. It is natural grass, worked hard by more than one sport, and the money went into keeping it playable.

Baglan Dragons FC are the main occupants, in Cymru South. The reserves play here too, and Swansea City Ladies have used the ground for fixtures. Capacity sits at around 1,000.

The exception came on 25 August 2024. A Nathaniel MG Cup tie against Swansea City's young side drew more than 750 people — the largest crowd the ground has held. Cup football is what fills it: Baglan Dragons beat Seven Sisters Onllwyn 4–1 here in a 2022/23 qualifying round, met FC Cwmaman the following season, and hosted Swansea City U-21 in 2023.

Beyond those ties, the calendar is local. No national final has been staged here, no concert. The name is thought to honour Sir David Evans-Bevan, the Vale of Neath Brewery owner and benefactor, though nothing in the record ties him to a date on this site.
