The ground sits tucked into the Hasseris district of Aalborg . It has never been a place for spectacle.
The stadium has lived through two corporate name changes, though the official name remains Aalborg KFUM Stadion . It was previously the Nordjyske Bank Arena , a title it held through at least May 2011, before shifting to its current sponsor, Genoptræning Danmark Arena , from April 1, 2026. These titles change with the funding, but the club inside has been steady since the football section split from the multi-sport Aalborg KFUM Idrætsklub in 1991.
