Aalborg Kfum

Two football clubs share Aalborg. The other, in the Hasseris district, feeds it. Aalborg KFUM sits at the bottom of the pyramid as a development side for AaB's academy, and the traffic runs one way: Mathias Ross left at 13 and went on to more than 100 matches for AaB before Galatasaray; Marco Ramkilde and Nóel Atli Arnórsson both went at 11.

The football section broke away from the multi-sport club Aalborg KFUM Idrætsklub on 21 October 1991, though the parent organisation dates to 17 June 1938. The letters stand for Kristelig Forening for Unge Mænd, and the club remains inside that structure.

The ground on Under Lien holds 1,500. Its name has changed with the sponsor, and since 1 April 2026 it has been the Genoptræning Danmark Arena.

The men's team plays in the fifth and fourth tiers. There is no senior national title and no Danish Cup here. What there is came in November 2023, when the Old Boys side won the DM i Old Boys-fodbold, beating KB 1–0 in the final. That veterans' team has carried names Aalborg knows well — Rasmus Würtz and Jakob Ahlmann among them, both from AaB's 2014/15 championship squad. The women's side went up from the Jyllandsserien in 2022.

So the rivalry with AaB is not a rivalry in the ordinary sense. The two clubs sit at opposite ends of the same city's football, one taking what the other raises.
