Glamsbjerg Stadion

The record of this ground is thin, and what survives of it comes almost entirely from cup draws. Twice the DBU Pokalen sent a side from the top of the Danish game down Assensvej to a pitch with no seats to speak of, and both times the visit ended the way the form book suggested.

The first of those was in August 2008, when Glamsbjerg IF met Assens FC in the opening round and lost 0–5. A hundred and fifty people watched it, and that figure remains the largest crowd on record here.

Twelve years later, on 1 September 2020, the first round brought them together again, this time with Esbjerg fB of the Superliga as the opponent. Glamsbjerg lost 0–8.

Beyond those two afternoons the ground has stayed out of the national picture. No finals, no international fixtures, no change of name across its whole existence: it has been Glamsbjerg Stadion throughout, home to a club whose own founding date is old enough that the year is argued over. The listed capacity of a thousand is the sort of figure that covers standing room rather than counted seats, which fits what the cup nights showed.
