Heffron Park Synthetic

Dunbar Rovers, Heffron Hawks and Glebe Wanderers all list the synthetic field at Heffron Park as a home ground, which means the surface carries National Premier Leagues NSW fixtures from the lower divisions and Eastern Suburbs Football Association football in the same week.

The surface meets FIFA 1 Star and 2 Star standards — a third-generation system with crumb rubber infill. Floodlights and change rooms come with it, so the pitch keeps working after dark on weeknights.

Room for a thousand spectators makes this a ground for people who came for the football, and the crowds that fill it are not always there for a match at all. In 2023 the venue put the FIFA Women's World Cup on a screen for the neighbourhood, quarter-final and final both, and did the same for the Socceroos against Argentina. That December it hosted trials for the Juventus Academy Full Time programme.

The pitch sits inside the wider Heffron Park reserve on Bunnerong Road, bounded by Jersey Road, Robey Street and Fitzgerald Avenue — the same parkland that holds the South Sydney Rabbitohs' Heffron Centre.
