Ibrachina Arena

The name on the gate points to something most academy grounds in São Paulo do not have: a cultural institute behind the club rather than a sponsor or a founder's surname. Ibrachina Arena takes its name from the Instituto Sociocultural Brasil-China, the body that set up Ibrachina Futebol Clube in the Mooca district, and the ground has carried that name since it opened.

It was built for a specific job. The pitch, laid with FIFA-certified artificial turf by Total Grass, serves the club's Sub-17 and Sub-20 sides rather than a first team chasing state or national titles, and the surrounding 12,000-square-metre complex is shaped around training as much as matchdays.

Since 2022 the arena has taken on a heavier calendar during the Copa São Paulo de Juniores, the Copinha, when it hosts group-stage fixtures alongside its regular academy programme. Capacity figures vary by source — Transfermarkt lists 2,000, Wikipedia a more modest 600 — but either way this was never meant to be a stadium for crowds; it is a venue built to develop players first.
