Kambah 2

Kambah 2 is one half of a pair — Kambah District Playing Fields No. 1 and No. 2 sit side by side off Laidlaw Place in Tuggeranong, and it is the second pitch that carries the football load. Tuggeranong United ground their women's and men's National Premier Leagues Capital fixtures out here, sharing duties with Greenway Oval across town, which keeps the club's home form split between two very different sites rather than settled at one.

The pitch holds natural grass, unlike several of the synthetic surfaces Canberra clubs have shifted to for winter durability, and closes for renovation in the off-season the way turf grounds do. Capacity is listed at 1,000, modest even by NPL Capital standards, which suits a venue built for club football rather than finals crowds — though it has hosted its share of knockout football, including a Capital NPL women's preliminary final between Canberra Olympic and Canberra Croatia in September 2023, and qualifying rounds of the Hahn Australia Cup and Federation Cup.

Away from football, the ground doubles as public space for Tuggeranong: the Canberra Highland Gathering, the city's annual Scottish heritage festival, has used the wider playing fields site, a reminder that suburban grounds like this one rarely belong to one sport alone.
