Tuggeranong United

Two youth setups grew up on opposite sides of the same suburb before anyone thought to join them. Kambah United Soccer Club started in 1976, and a year later a children's side formed in nearby Wanniassa, taking the name Wanniassa Soccer Club before becoming Tuggeranong Soccer Club in 1985. The merger came in 1986, when the two combined into a single development pathway for the whole Tuggeranong district.

Kambah 2, on Laidlaw Place, holds 1,000 and remains the club's home ground. The league title has been harder to hold onto for long stretches — Tuggeranong topped the table in 1983, 1991 and 1992, then waited three decades for the next one, winning the Capital Premier League in 2022 and adding the Charity Shield the same year.

That 2022 title followed a difficult run: the club finished bottom of the top flight in 2021 and dropped down before bouncing straight back up. A similar pattern shaped the late 1990s, when a Grand Final win over O'Connor Knights in the second tier in 1999 earned an immediate return to the top division. The club's best-known cup run came earlier still — the 2013 Federation Cup win sent Tuggeranong into the FFA Cup the following year, where they reached the round of 16 before Melbourne Victory beat them 6–0.

Since then the club has reached the NPL semi-finals twice, in 2018 and again in 2025, without going further.
