Kunstrasenplatz I (Alzeyer Straße 131)

The ground on Alzeyer Straße sits on land that has been used three times over: a prisoner-of-war camp between 1915 and 1918, then a cycling track built in 1924 that went bankrupt, and finally the pitch VfR Wormatia Worms began laying out in early 1927. The first match was played on New Year's Day 1928.

Its name has changed with the politics around it. It was the Wormatia-Stadion from 1927 to 1933, the Adolf-Hitler-Stadion from 1933 to 1939 and the Adolf-Hitler-Kampfbahn from 1939 to 1945, when the ground was also substantially expanded. The old name returned in 1945 and stayed until August 2011, when a sponsorship agreement with the regional utility EWR AG made it the EWR-Arena .

The crowd figure that still stands was set on 30 May 1955: 30,000 for a German Championship playoff against Rot-Weiss Essen, which Worms lost 1–3.

Wormatia beat Hertha BSC 2–1 here in the DFB-Pokal in 2012. The ground is also the fixed venue for the Southwest German Football Association's women's and girls' Verbandspokal finals.
