Worms Women

Extra time in the Südwestpokal final in June 2026, and Wormatia Worms's women beat 1. FC Kaiserslautern 3-2 — the first time the section had won the regional cup.

The section as it exists now dates to 2006, when the club brought women's football back rather than started it. Wormatia itself goes back to 23 May 1908, and the women play in the same red and white.

Before the cup, the closest thing to a headline was a route into the DFB-Pokal in 2021/22 that had nothing to do with a knockout run. SV Göttelborn went up to the 2. Bundesliga, a Regionalliga place fell vacant, and Worms took it. The other title on the board is older and smaller: the SWFV Hallenmasters, the south-west association's indoor tournament, won in February 2009 as holders.

Home games are played on the artificial pitch on Alzeyer Straße, the same surface the club's under-23s use.
